Roger Davies President

Roger Davies

The Australian Coal Preparation Society's 14th National Conference "Stories from the Coal Face" is to be held in Canberra in September 2012.

Held every two years this conference is the pinnacle in coal preparation in Australia. It brings together leading coal preparation companies and personnel over 4 days to learn new and improved processing techniques through a series of world class papers and presentations.

As the world leading exporter of coal we now see the expansion of existing and yet to be developed coal mining areas in several States in Australia. This provides us with many challenges to process both metallurgical and thermal coals with various process characteristics in a variety of locations around our Nation. Stories from the Coal Face will be beneficial to all participants in the coal chain; from the winning of coal to the end users.

The Conference will also be of particular value to operating mines, designers, contracting, consultants and technology companies.

A key part of the conference is an exhibition with over 30 of the industry's leading suppliers taking part; creating an excellent opportunity to refresh relationships and develop new ones.

The Conference will focus around the Hotel Realm Convention Centre, as well as several points across the Capital including new Parliament House, The Australian War Memorial and Old Parliament House.

We look forward to welcoming you to Canberra and the 14th ACPS Conference & Exhibition.

Kind Regards,
